Additionally, I found it strange that no one from the support team reached out to me after I decided to cancel my subscription. Yesterday I paid for a year’s subscription and noticed that it would automatically renew next year. So I sent a help ticket, explaining that I want to cancel.

My experience with CleanMyMac X

I got an almost immediate reply to my email requesting help. I had just changed to a new computer and didn’t know how to move the app from the old to the new. Naoume reset my activation code to make it easy. I didn’t at first understand what steps to take to put in the code.

I sent an email to MacPaw asking for help and got a reply telling me to use the chat connection for help. I replied to their email saying I am severely visually impaired and chat is difficult for me—please can we use email. I got my wife to help me with chat and after several identical responses realized we were talking to a chatbot! Also, the chatbot told me new license but my current license was fine, it was CMMX that didn’t activate properly. Finally I told the chatbot I wanted to work with a human and eventually the problem was solved satisfactorily.
