But how to rebuild yourself, first lies in letting go of the things that are holding you back. The challenges, limitations, and struggle of tackling negativity can be curbed by the fulfillment of your desires. In reality, the fact is not everyone finds success in rebuilding their life.
Other times, it’s because we don’t want to put in the effort that taking care of ourselves requires. Let go of old relationships that have become negative or problematic. Sometimes maintaining our friendships is just not possible and we’re better off apart. Keep the changes small so you don’t feel overwhelmed by them. Be as descriptive as possible so you get a clear picture of what it is you will be working toward.
Prioritizing self-care activities that bring you joy and happiness can also help boost your emotional health. If possible, completely get rid of your toxic relationships and remove yourself from harmful situations. Make small changes every day that take you out of your comfort zone. You don’t need to make big, sweeping changes all at once. You can make minor adjustments to get yourself used to being in unfamiliar territory. Unfortunately, it’s also boring and no longer a conducive environment for you.

I don’t know about you, but I hate to learn and grow. I recently revisited several of my most life-changing books, the ones I feel genuinely changed my course and helped me grow. The last two years have left many of us feeling a little shaky and unsure and I’ve been finding it harder to maintain a sense of optimism and hope.
